From the moment that Monica emailed me, inquiring about her wedding day, I just KNEW that this day was going to be special. David + Monica share a love that is so incredibly special and just so sweet. These two were without a doubt, made for each other. 

And their families? Equally as amazing. The second I walked in the door, I felt incredibly welcomed and loved on and that just made capturing their day all the more fun!

October 28th was an unusually COLD day for the midwest. Snow was threatening the outdoor ceremony that Monica and David had planned in the backyard of David’s childhood home. But that didn’t stop these two from going forth with the plans that they had dreamt up for months. 

These two split their time between Boston and Chicago, which meant planning a TWO part wedding day. They planned their ceremony and a small reception in Illinois and then a bigger party in Boston a few weeks later. I was lucky enough to be able to capture the incredibly special, part 1, of their wedding in Illinois! (And was already booked elsewhere, for their Boston reception which was a huge bummer!)

The ceremony was unique and blended both of their cultures together in a beautiful way! The guests stayed warm beneath the heaters and didn’t mind one bit braving the cold for Monica + David! Their ceremony was followed by a small reception with the best food, heartwarming speeches and a super fun dance party! I am so thankful to have been the one to capture their amazing day full of color, love and happiness! Here are a few of my favorite images from their day!
